Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award) 0654 covers all three science disciplines and awards two IGCSE grades, making it ideal for students who want a broad scientific foundation without sitting three separate sciences. Lessons include teacher-led demonstrations, virtual experiments, data analysis and structured exam practice, building deep understanding of scientific concepts alongside the practical and mathematical skills the examiner expects. Every candidate studies the full content across biology (B1–B19), chemistry (C1–C12) and physics (P1–P6).
Topics covered.
Biology
Cells and movement across membranes, enzymes, plant and human nutrition, transport, gas exchange and respiration, coordination, reproduction, inheritance, variation and ecology.
Chemistry
States of matter, atoms and bonding, stoichiometry, electrochemistry, energetics, chemical reactions, acids and bases, the Periodic Table, metals, environmental and organic chemistry, and analysis.
Physics
Motion, forces and energy, thermal physics, waves, electricity and magnetism, nuclear physics and space physics.
Working scientifically
Handling data, problem-solving and applying the scientific method across all three disciplines, as required by the assessment objectives.
Practical skills
Selecting and safely using apparatus, planning investigations, recording and interpreting observations, evaluating methods and suggesting improvements.
Exam technique
Command words, mark scheme expectations, structured answers, calculations and applying knowledge to unfamiliar contexts across biology, chemistry and physics.

How progress is measured.
Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award) 0654 awards two IGCSE grades. Every candidate sits three papers. There are two tiers: Core (grades C to G), with Paper 1 multiple choice (45 minutes, 30%) and Paper 3 theory (2 hours, 50%); and Extended (grades A* to G), with Paper 2 multiple choice (45 minutes, 30%) and Paper 4 theory (2 hours, 50%). All candidates also take one practical component — either Paper 5 Practical Test (2 hours) or Paper 6 Alternative to Practical (1 hour 30 minutes), each worth 20%. We guide students to the tier that maximises their grades and mark every mock to Cambridge standard with detailed examiner-style feedback.
Where it leads.
The Double Award gives a solid foundation for further study and leads naturally to A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It supports university routes into medicine, engineering, veterinary science and all STEM fields.
