Where it all began.
Founded in August 2021 with just two students, The British Online School has grown into a close-knit community of educators, parents and students across 25+ countries — from primary through to IGCSE.
Danny Bohannan
Qualified Mathematics teacher with a Masters in Education and PGCE from Cambridge University. Over a decade of international teaching experience across three countries, holding positions as Head of School, Head of Department and Assistant Head of Year.

Charlotte Blackwell
Works closely with teachers and oversees the school's operations. Communicates regularly with families, builds relationships and forms a sense of belonging to the school community.

Maarya Ahmed
B.Ed in Teacher Training and Masters in Inclusive Education from the University of Glasgow. Qualified SENDCo and Level 3 Forest School Leader with experience supporting online learning across primary and secondary levels.
Kate Chinyama
Certificate in Education from Edge Hill University and CELTA-qualified. Twenty years teaching mathematics, science and English at primary and secondary levels, with seven years of online teaching experience.
Ailish Corcoran
Taught in England, Portugal and Brazil. Values classroom engagement and flexible online teaching, bringing a rich international perspective to English lessons.

Mark Hooley
Chartered Geographer with fifteen years' experience. Former IBDP Coordinator and Head of Secondary for Teaching and Learning in Spain and Portugal. Emphasises inquiry, exploration and enjoyment.

Languages specialist. Runs the debate club, fostering critical thinking and communication skills alongside language instruction.
