How progress is measured.
Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies (0450) is assessed by two externally marked papers, each worth 50% and lasting 1 hour 30 minutes. Paper 1 (Short Answer and Data Response, 80 marks) is four questions mixing short answers with structured data responses; Paper 2 (Case Study, 80 marks) is four questions based on a case study provided with the paper. Candidates can achieve grades A* to G. At BOS, students sit regular mock papers in both formats, marked to the Cambridge mark scheme, with termly reports tracking predicted grades.
Where it leads.
Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies leads naturally to A-Level Business, Economics and Accounting. It is valued by universities and employers as evidence of understanding business concepts, and is a strong foundation for courses in management, finance, marketing and entrepreneurship.
